The "quasi release date" of a fan translation being released is pretty important because that's when things have the most buzz around it because very few people go out of their way to check out older games IMO. I think Yu-No was in the perfect circumstances of being pretty good and translated when people were getting nostalgic about older Anime-like artstyle. >I just thought that with it being translated for years and playable even on a browser there'd be more people who have actually played it. By the way, I've got a question: How did Puddin' end up in front of Mido's corpse? Was she drugged by King!Mayako and put next to his body to frame her for the crime? > Anonymous Mon Oct 10 22:24:14 2016 No.3552907 I just thought that with it being translated for years and playable even on a browser there'd be more people who have actually played it. And would love if the others were translated. > Anonymous Mon Oct 10 17:42:43 2016 No.3552417Ĭongrats, welcome to the club of 10 people that have played this. You guys wanna see the YU-NO remake of Eve? Rewrites aside, there's a fuckton of typos and some names were changed for no real reason. The first game's translation isn't particularly stellar either. Also, YU-NO came out after both EBS and Desire, which means the writer had more skill and experience by the time he wrote that. Granted, there are some things near the ending that I find kinda questionable, but it was a great ride nonetheless. I loved Yu-No so I don't want to find out that Kanno was a one hit wonder > Anonymous Mon Oct 10 15:39:08 2016 No.3552261Įve's a pretty great game. I played Desire and it was a hot mess, how does Eve compare to it? I can definitely say "no" to the only other English EVE game though - not only did the translation quality drop like a meteor, it's also "incomplete" and they later released a completed version that you might as well have played in the first place, outside of the fact that it was never translated to English. The Japanese seem to think the answer is "no", but I guess I can't personally confirm that. >Also, are any of the sequels worth playing? Does anyone happen to know the original versions of the names that got locaized in the Himeya tl (Siria got localized to Natasha, for example)? > Anonymous Mon Oct 10 13:41:10 2016 No.3552101 That aside, the game's around 30 hours long, I think. In fact, the only real difference is that the PC-98 version looks more glossy, while the Windows version has more of an anime feel to it, because of the colors used. The artist for both versions is the same so you don't lose much of one version by playing the other (Art-wise, at least). there are way too few decent pixel art vns already as to lose on one more. Wanna talk about, /vr/? Also, are any of the sequels worth playing? > Anonymous Sun Oct 9 16:10:34 2016 No.3550648ĭid you play the Windows version? how long was it? I want to play the pc98 but don't know if my Japanese is good enough for a vn yet and don't want to play the non pixel art version. So I beat EVE Burst Error today and I liked it a lot.
